    Professor and Chief of Neurology

    Sami Khella, MD, is professor of clinical neurology and chief of the Department of Neurology at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He co-founded the Penn Amyloidosis Center, one of the largest multidisciplinary amyloid programs in the United States, over 25 years ago. The center has extensive involvement in clinical research, including the pivotal RNA silencing trials. He has published many peer-reviewed papers on neuromuscular disorders, and amyloidosis in particular. Dr Khella is internationally recognized for his work; thus, he is a highly sought-after speaker on amyloid neuropathy and other causes of peripheral neuropathy. In addition, his enthusiastic teaching has earned him many awards.
