    Edward J. Fox, MD, PhD

    Clinical Associate Professor of Neurology

    Edward Fox, MD, PhD, FAAN, is the director of the Multiple Sclerosis Clinic of Central Texas, and is the founding partner of Central Texas Neurology Consultants in Round Rock. Since starting a private neurology practice in 1992, he has been involved in numerous MS research protocols and has spoken internationally on topics related to neuroimmunology. His clinic has been designated a Center for Comprehensive MS Care by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Dr Fox is a longstanding member of the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers, is the president-elect of the Texas Neurological Society, and is also a clinical associate professor of neurology at the University of Texas Dell Medical School at Austin. He received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.

    Lori Mayer, DNP, MSCN

    Director, Medical Research

    Lori Mayer, DNP, MSN, RN, MSCN, is the director of medical research for the Multiple Sclerosis Clinic of Central Texas/Central Texas Neurology Consultants in Round Rock. She earned her doctorate in nursing practice at Rocky Mountain University in Provo, Utah and is a certified multiple sclerosis nurse. Dr Mayer has been involved in the clinical care of patients with MS and managing investigational clinical research since 2000. She has moderated numerous CME programs, and has presented at the International Organization of Multiple Sclerosis Nurses’ (IOMSN’s) MS CME and regional programs. She has published several articles and abstracts in peer-reviewed journals, is currently the chair of the IOMSN’s research committee, and is a board member of the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers.

    Jerry S. Wolinsky, MD

    Emeritus Professor in Neurology

    Jerry S. Wolinsky, MD, is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Neurology at the McGovern Medical School, The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). He held the Bartels Family and Opal C. Rankin Professorships of Neurology at UTHealth, where he served as director of the Multiple Sclerosis Research Group and the Magnetic Resonance Imaging Analysis Center, and as a member of the graduate faculty of the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. Dr Wolinsky focuses on the design, implementation, conduct and analysis of clinical trials of multiple sclerosis, and basic and applied research in quantitative MRI analysis and MR spectroscopic imaging. He received his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago.
